Low German Ministry
We are passionate about reaching out to this special ethnocultural group because we recognize the need and because of our common roots which give many of us a special connection and opportunity. The breakdown in religion and education has left many in this area in great poverty. We are partnering with others in bringing new hope through intentional discipleship, education and economic development.
In 1969 the EMMC leadership made a decision to move ahead with an overseas initiative in Bolivia. The work which was originally intended specifically for the Low German speaking migrants, soon expanded to Bolivian nationals. Following the initial pioneering work, strong effort was placed on local leadership development in the national Anabaptist church.
