Do good to the Family of Faith

Youth host carnival

The Glencross Senior and Junior Youth put on a carnival for the youngest people of our church and community. Admittance was by donation with funds going to Children’s Camps International.
With Friday, October 26 being a day off from school for the students, it allowed the teams of 2 or 3 youth each to set up for an evening of fun. Tables with snacks were set up where the grownups could visit and watch the activities. The creativity of these teens was a joy to observe. Some booths were simply a series of large boxes set up in a maze which attracted the very young to crawl through over and over, Hot Wheels tracks which were very popular with the little ones, a tea party table, face painting, a Nerf gun area where they could try to hit moving Lego machine targets, Plinko to win candy, a pie smashing booth, balloon art, Pepsi/Coke challenge and several more. This has become an annual event anticipated by the kids and is a great way for the Youth to contribute to the life of the church.
Galatians 6:10 Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.

Sunday School staff appreciation

It takes a lot of volunteers to run a successful Sunday School program. To show appreciation for the work they do, our Superintendent Heather Dyck and her assistant Christine Klassen, together with their families served a pancake and bacon breakfast to our Sunday School workers and families on November 11. They made this very convenient to attend by hosting it on a Sunday morning before Sunday School.
