“May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us—yes, establish the work of our hands. (Psalm 90:17)
That is our prayer for ourselves as D’Friesens! We are very much aware that in and of ourselves we can accomplish nothing. It is only as God lives and works in us and through us that anything good is accomplished. May His name always be glorified in all we do.
During these last few months we have again spent many hours in travel. A few of the places we visited were Abbotsford B.C., Peace River and Grand Prairie, Alberta; many colonies and churches in Mexico, and most recently, Redcliff, Alberta. Everywhere we go, we sense the hunger that our Low German people have for the truth, and we sense God at work. It is perhaps only a small window of time that we spend in each place, but our prayer is that we could be a blessing and encouragement to fellow believers, and sow some seeds in the hearts of those who are still seeking. We know that many of these people face real difficulties and struggles. We have had many opportunities to share God’s Word through preaching and singing.
Several more Low German projects were successfully completed these last few months. The second book in the Sunday School curriculum has been completed and is being used in numerous churches. The third book in the children’s devotional series has also been printed and is being sold. We continue to receive letters and emails sharing how helpful these stories are, and that is a huge encouragement to us!
We are also preparing for several events in the near future, one of which is a Low German Music Festival in Winkler on August 18. It is the first time we are attempting something like this, so we really appreciate your prayers for this venture. Also, the Low German Media Conference is in Germany this year, and we have been encouraged to go. It is always a good time of networking and sharing with many others involved in this kind of work. We also have several concert bookings in Germany for that time, so that will be a new experience for us.
With your help and support, we hope to finish Book 1 and 2 of the teachers’ manuals for the Sunday School book series. We also plan to get the third Sunday School student book ready for print by the fall.

Praise God for:
A wonderful advisory board, and how they care for us and support us in this work.
All of you, our wonderful, supportive families and friends.
The safe arrival of our first grandchild! Our son Jason and his wife Teya are the proud parents of a beautiful little girl, named Soren Fiella. We praise the Lord for His guiding hand in everything.
All the wonderful and committed organizations that we have the privilege of working with.
Providing all our needs, according to His riches in glory!

Pray for:
Those of us who spend much time in travel, especially for safety. Pray also for those of our family who hold down the fort at home. Pray that we may all be found faithful in all we do, and that we can be a consistent witness for the Lord.
The people in Chihuahua, Mexico, who recently lost so many community members to accidents and other tragedies. Pray that they will place their trust in God to comfort, heal and guide them through this time of grief and adjustment.
God to provide the finances that are needed for us to do this work as long as He wants us to.
Continued health and energy.
Wisdom to speak the words God would have us speak, in love and in truth.

    Hi Diedrich and Nettie Friesen
I have heard many of your children stories in Low German. I attend the Bergfeld EMMC church. We are always looking for children stories and was wondering if we could have permission to translate your children stories into English? From the book, “Jieda Dach Met Jesus”. Maybe you have it in English?
