Our Artroom initiative is all about bringing creative people to create for the Creator. Our next EMMC Art Contest will be held in July 2022!
The EMMC Artroom is a collaboration group for creative people with the EMMC, creating media for the conference, its churches, and related ministries. The EMMC will occasionally open up projects for people to offer their creative abilities. This page is for all kinds of creative kingdom work, writing books, videos, print media, brochures, websites, promotional material, painting, needle point, etc.
The annual art contest results in a fundraiser to help support Youth Ministries and our Treasured Foundation youth event.
Calling all artists...
Start planning and dream of ways you can share your abilities and your faith. Each entry must include a few lines of how the art piece connects with your faith.
The Art Contest is open to those who attend EMMC churches. More details and instructions will be available soon!
Each category has three age groups:
Group 1 (15 and under)
Group 2 (16-39 years old)
Group 3 (40+)
Pieces may be taken with a film camera, digital camera or a smart phone. You may edit them digitally with some basic colour correction and cropping but the content must be from the original photo and not modified to create a new image/photo.
Digital Art –
This includes all digitally created images. Submissions must be original with no stock or pre-created imagery of any sort. It may be a vector design, a digital painting/drawing, 3D illustration, or other visual digital media.
Oil, acrylic, watercolour, airbrush, or spray painting are all in this category. Submissions must be a work that you can scan or take a good quality photo of and submit OR small enough that you can mail in. These pieces must be original, not copied from other artists’ paintings and not done as part of a “paint night”. The piece may come from a compilation of photos that you have combined into your original work.
