The journey with the Austin Evangelical Fellowship congregation began on October 1, 2005 when Colin Bell was hired as their lead pastor. Then, almost 20 years later, Colin preached his last sermon on July 6, 2025.

Much has happened during those years, and so much for which to be grateful. Over the years, Colin has been involved in the community in various ways, reaching out to the high school, coaching local teams and being available to support and care for those in the community. The ministry in the congregation was more than just being a pastor. It was also being a teacher, friend and a mentor. Colin brought energy and enthusiasm to the congregation.

The church board has been good to Colin over the years, supporting him as he took on the role as chair for the Treasured Foundation Committee in 2010 and being involved again in 2013. That involvement required extra time and energy which in turn made a difference for the TF events. At our TF planning meetings, Colin frequently expressed his appreciation for his church board and the care extended to him.

Colin will be taking on the new position of Pastor of Discipleship at Hope Bible Church Niagara in St. Catharines, Ontario. This move also brings him closer to his mom and siblings.
