MEM Team Members

MEM, (Misión Evangélica Menonita), is an outreach ministry of the Evangelical Bergthaler Mennonite Conference (EBMC) out of La Crete, Alberta, and the Evangelical Mennonite Mission Conference (EMMC) with offices in Winnipeg. The Evangelical Mennonite Conference (EMC) provides staffing and other support, and ministry workers and additional help is also coming from Paraguay and Mexico. MEM has a goal to encourage those people who for one reason or another have disassociated themselves with the church system of the colonies. Primary efforts are in spiritual, academic and economic areas.

• Pray that Nancy Friesen and I will do what is best for our students and that the Amanecer building project can be completed.

• Praise for the wonderful weather (it has cooled down a little), for the chance we have to spread the Gospel and that people want to send their children to school.

• As a family we have to make some important decisions as our proposed term here in Bolivia is coming to its end, pray for wisdom and joy on the right path.

• Pray for the new school year that started in February. For the students and parents, and for Anna Blatz who will be teaching with me this year.

• Pray that we will be able to find and hire a part-time Spanish teacher.

• I am so thankful for the EMC prayer team who came to visit in January. What a blessing they were to the people they came in contact with.

• Youth programs will start again in February. Pray that we would have a great start.

• Three of our youth went to Paraguay in mid-January for Discipleship School. We are so excited that they went. Pray that when they return, we can give them opportunities to use what they have learned to serve the Lord in the church and youth ministry.

Assignment: Church Planting Pastor in Amanecer near Tres Cruces

• Pray for the church here at Amanecer, that we would be able to reach more and more people with the Gospel.

• Pray that the people would feel loved, that they would feel that people care for each other and that they don’t have to live in so much fear of other people. Many people around us carry so much pain. Pray that they would be able to walk in freedom with Jesus Christ.

• Pray that the Lord would send more people who have a passion to serve on a mission field here at Amancer.

• Praise the Lord for an amazing year 2025. He has provided us with strength, courage and energy to serve in His ministry.

• We are so grateful for how people are responding to the Gospel.

• The new school year starts in February. Please pray for teachers and students.

• We are so thankful for the teaching and workshops presented by Wernor Franz out of Paraguay this past month. Pray that our church can apply what we have learned.

• Pray for our Hacienda Verde Hopninj Jemeent. Pray for those who are there to grow spiritually, that new people will come to accept the Lord, and that we will be a light to all around us.
