“Lord, I am overflowing with your blessings, just as You promised.” Psalm 119:65 (TLB) This verse reflects the hearts of those in attendance at the baptism service at Glencross on November 3. After Pastor Peter Redekopp gave a devotional on Completeness in Christ based on Colossians 2:1-15, nine young people shared their testimonies and were baptized.

Some time ago Pastor Peter shared that God had placed a desire on his heart to see growth in our church numbers, and now with a huge smile he could tell the congregation that this was the largest group he had led through baptism classes in his 25+ years of ministry. Praise God for His Faithfulness!

The baptism candidates shared about their walk with God and His hand in each of their journeys. Jared Driedger, Willy Fehr, Sam Gervais, Kenton Klassen, Saralyn Klassen, Shane Krahn, Logan Lesser, Chelsea Reimer and Naomi Voth were all baptized and welcomed into the Glencross church family. As Pastor Peter so appropriately said in his devotional “A picture is worth a thousand words … and baptism is that picture.”
