Celebrating After 32 Years of Service (Winkler EMMC)

On the last Sunday of August, church family and friends joined Winkler EMMC to celebrate Pastor Dale and Lori Dueck's retirement after 32 years of serving the congregation and community. Pastor John Wiebe's message was on Acts 20:13-28 and focused on "Building a Life of Worship Together through Community."

On behalf of Church Council and Congregation, Tristan Loewen thanked Pastor Dale and Lori for their dedication and service over the many years. They were presented with a monetary gift, flowers, and a journal that the church family could leave notes of thanks and encouragement in as they begin a new chapter.

After the service there was a fellowship lunch. Each table had a picture of Pastor Dale and/ or Lori, and a Coca-Cola, and a display had a collage of other photos of them with friends/ family, in the church, and on one of their many trips to Israel. Pulled pork and fries were on the menu, Coke, and a cake created by congregation member Nettie Toews was served.

A note from Pastor Dale and Lori: "We leave with excellent memories of our time spent ministering in this congregation. We also leave with the confidence that God has placed within the WEMM Church a very competent and godly staff to continue to lead this congregation into the future. We look forward to continuing our fellowship with you in whatever way God has for us in the time ahead. God's richest blessing to you, the WEMM Church congregation. We know He is faithful! Stand Firm! Blessings, Pastor Dale and Lori.”
