On February 22 to 25 we had 205 young people including leaders attend our regional youth and young adult retreat. Youth came from Los Cuates (Mexico), Del Valle (Mexico), Little Belize, Shipyard, Spanish Lookout, and Blue Creek.
We were blessed to have Professor Gord Penner from Steinbach Bible College, Manitoba be our guest speaker. Our theme was Pursuit based on the passage Hebrews 12:1-2. He spoke on our identity in Christ as well as how God is our GPS in bringing back to Him through His grace.
After the sessions, there were plenty of fun games such as volleyball and relay races. We were strengthened and encouraged in our faith.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
