Sutherland Evangelical Church, Saskatoon SK

On March 17 SEC welcomed seven new members. We praise God for His wisdom in sending just the right people to join us on the journey of worship, service and fellowship.

Sunday May 26 a group from the Sutherland Evangelical Church made the 3-hour drive to Nipawin to visit and bring greetings and encouragement to Marsden and Mandy Giesbrecht at Open Arms Bible Fellowship. The service was a blessing to us with lots of singing and sharing. Following the service, a group went to the local Dairy Queen for a fellowship lunch. It was great to visit with Pastor Marsden and Mandy Giesbrecht and their entire congregation.

Marsden and Mandy are members of Sutherland Evangelical Church and are serving as pastor couple for Open Arms Bible Fellowship and are associate missionaries with EMMC. Open Arms Bible Fellowship became an EMMC congregation on December 4, 2022.

On June 2 SEC held a dessert auction to raise money for our second annual church camp, scheduled for September. Amidst a lot of fun and banter, many desserts were auctioned and enjoyed, raising $1,755.00 to offset the camp costs!
