PURPOSE STATEMENT FOR TREASURED FOUNDATION

"The purpose of the National Youth Convention is 

to motivate the youth 

to develop the qualities of the Christian life 

by equipping them with tools enabling them to 

live a life dedicated to Christ."

Treasured Foundation (TF) is EMMC’s flagship international youth event—an unforgettable gathering that unites high school students from across Canada and Belize. Since 1989, TF has been held every three years, building a rich legacy of spiritual growth, vibrant community, and life-changing experiences. It all happens between Christmas and New Year, the perfect window when everyone is free to come together.

At TF ’26, our passion is to create an environment where youth can encounter God in meaningful, memorable ways. We’ll worship through powerful music, dive into strong biblical teaching, experience dynamic large-group sessions, explore practical mini-sessions, and take time for prayer and personal devotions. Along the way, students will deepen their understanding of the EMMC, build lasting friendships, and enjoy plenty of fun through recreational activities.

For many youth groups, TF is a highlight—an event that brings the whole group together with purpose. Some youth experience the excitement of fundraising as a team, strengthening their unity long before the event even begins. Others form connections with students from different churches, leading to lifelong friendships. And for many, learning about different cultures—comparing weather stories, sharing about community life, talking sports, or discovering daily routines—is eye-opening and enriching.

One of the most incredible parts of TF is watching youth come alive as they encounter Scripture in new ways—seeing truth click, faith deepen, and their relationship with God become personal.

You can play a significant role! Support the young people in your congregation:

• Encourage them to attend TF ‘26. Plan to bring / send a group to TF!

• Back their fundraising efforts.

• Spend time listening to their stories, challenges, and dreams.

• Pray for them.

• And when they return from TF ‘26, ask about their experiences—because they will have plenty to share!

Let’s invest in the next generation together—and watch God move in powerful ways at TF ‘26.
