EMMC Meetings in Winnipeg

Giving direction to an organization like EMMC involves the coming together of individuals from different regions and bringing their diverse experience and insight. The General Council consists of representatives from the five Regions that make up the EMMC:

Region 1: Alberta/Saskatchewan

Region 2: Manitoba Central

Region 3: Manitoba South

Region 4: Ontario

Region 6: Belize/Mexico South

EMMC General Board and Council meetings will be held June 17 and 18 at the EMMC Offices in Winnipeg at Morrow Gospel Church.

Council members representing all the regions will be coming together in person for the first time in over two years. We are excited about meeting together in this fashion, as for some, these will be first-time introductions to other council members and staff.

General Board will meet Friday afternoon in preparation for the General Council meetings later in the evening. Board, Council and staff members have the opportunity to meet for supper, followed by the General Council meeting. The all-day Saturday meeting will provide space for large and small group discussions and prayer time.

As you are reminded, please pray for all those involved – that there will be openness to what is being shared, and the freedom to engage and interact. Together, we desire to follow God’s leading and be obedient to where and how He is calling us as churches and the EMMC.

A number of General Council members have accepted the invitation to speak at Manitoba churches on Sunday, June 19.

Altona EMMC will host Pastor Aron Wiebe of Blenheim EMMC, Ontario

Bagot Community Chapel will host Pastor David Friesen of Altona EMMC, Manitoba

Bergfeld Mennonite Church will host Steve Miller, General Council member from Hague Gospel Church, SK

Glencross Mennonite Church will host Pastor Dale Doerksen of Sutherland Evangelical Church, Saskatoon SK

Morden EMMC will host Pastor Henry Redekopp of Mennonite Gospel Church, Vauxhall Alberta

Morrow Gospel Church will host Lena Wiebe, General Council member from Aylmer EMMC, Ontario

Niverville Community Fellowship will host Lyn Dyck, EMMC Executive Director

Winkler EMMC will host Pastor Quentin Unger of Deer Run Church, Leamington Ontario.
