Treasured Foundation 2023 is rapidly approaching! We are getting very excited about this opportunity and hoping to see many high school youth attend. In case you are unfamiliar with the event or why you want to be there here’s a quick summary.
Treasured Foundation is an EMMC-wide event for mainly high school students. The purpose of this event is:
1. To help build new relationships and deepen existing relationships
2. To serve together in various ways
3. To grow in our faith together through worship, main sessions, and mini sessions pointed at specific topics that that are current and relevant.
4. And of course we want to have a ton of fun together through all of this.
The theme for this year’s event is “The Voice of Truth”. This theme is rooted in John 10:27 where Jesus says “My sheep hear my voice, I know them, and they follow me.” We seem to be living in a time where there are many influences and voices claiming truth. We want to take time to focus on the Good Shepherd’s voice and what He has for us. Speaker for TF will be Kent Martens, pastor at Steinbach Evangelical Free Church, Manitoba.
Our planning team for this event is Tim Goertzen, Cody Schuender, Matt Antonio, and Vanessa Klassen. Together we are working hard at bringing all the details together to make this one fantastic event that will hopefully make amazing lasting memories for years to come.
As we work towards this event there are a few ways that you can support us. First is through prayer. Be praying for this event, that all the details would come together, that all that we are working towards would serve the purposes mentioned above and that this event would truly be honoring to God. This event is subsidized so as to make it as affordable and accessible as possible, so any donations are appreciated.
